Tracking is a powerful tool for relating to the natural world that humans have used for thousands of years and still use today. Whether its to bring home food, assist in conservation efforts or to deepen a connection with the natural world that we depend on for our survival, the process of learning to be a tracker can be a powerful one.  The senses are sharpened and a mindfulness is cultivated that carries over to many aspects of life.  Building the knowledge that it takes to be a good tracker creates a relationship between humans and nature that is not easily developed in other ways.  We invite you to join us for one of our classes and gain knowledge that will stay with you for a lifetime.

Introduction to Wildlife Tracking

The study of tracking can greatly enhance your outdoor experience.  Imagine knowing where a cougar has crossed a trail on its rounds, or discovering that a skunk forages nightly in your backyard.  Imagine knowing that a mother bear and cubs awoke in the winter and foraged for alder seeds under the snow.  This kind of knowledge and much more is available through the study of wildlife tracking. In this class we look at the widest variety of tracks and sign possible, and focus on giving you a solid foundation in the basics of track identification, aging, and trailing. Click here to register.
